In a recent, glorious trip to Brighton, I picked up some lovely beads, which inspired me to make these little acorn pendants.
They are the perfect accessory for your Autumn wardrobe.
What you will need:
A cup shaped bead
A round bead which will sit nicely into the cup shaped bead
A jump ring
A head pin
A set of pliers (round nose, side cutter and flat edge) These are not all essential but are definitely helpful.
Push the head pin through the bottom of the cup shaped bead and through the round bead.
Use the round nose pliers to bend the head pin forward.
Bend the head pin around the top of the the round bead.
Cut off the extra length of head pin using the side cutting pliers.
Use the flat edge pliers to push the sharp edge flat against the head pin and straighten the loop if needed.
Open the jump ring and attach to the little loop you made.
Use the flat edge pliers to squeeze the jump ring closed securely.
Thread the necklace through the jump ring.
You can make them in as many colours as you like. In natural autumnal shades or sparkly statement pieces.
You can use a chain like me or you can use a leather throng, or thick cotton thread.
Your little acorn can be attached to necklaces, bracelets, as phone charms or sweet keyrings. Whatever you attach them to they will make great gifts.
