The weather outside is frightful…but inside it’s so delightful…
…Well of course it is, because we have been making luxury homemade Coconut Bath Melts, which gently melt into a warm bath, enriching the bath with moisturising oils and fragrance.
They are great if you suffer from dry skin or eczema and are a relaxing way to end a long day.
Bath Melts also make wonderful gifts as they look so pretty.
1 cup of coconut oil
1/2 cup of shea butter
25-30 drops of essential oil of your choice
Melt the coconut oil carefully in a saucepan. Once it has completed melted remove from the heat and add the shea butter. Stir until the shea butter has melted.
Add the essential oil (I added about 25-30 drops) and then carefully spoon into the silicone moulds.
Sprinkle the glitter on top of the melts and it will float on the top.
Once the melts have started to set, sprinkle on the cupcake sprinkles. If you do this too early they will sink/melt or both.
Once they have set completely they look so pretty and will make gorgeous gifts in little boxes or cellophane wrap.
Melts can make the bath a little slippy so be careful!
