Crochet Cases – Made for crafters by crafters and GIVEAWAY

July 2, 2016 by Amy Le Pelley 63 Comments

I thought it was time for another roundup of beautiful craft items for my ‘made by crafters for crafters’ series.

This month I am going to share some of my favourite crochet case sellers.

As creative people, crafters love to express their individuality and style and that includes the way they carry and display their equipment.

Crochet hook case pink

Atelier de Soyan sells sophisticated crochet hook cases, constructed with organic natural linen. They are individually hand-dyed, textured and embellished and finished with an inner lining of pure organic cotton.  They even have a little internal pocket for stitch markers and other crafty bits and bobs.  They cost £44 which is the higher end of the market, but for that price you get a beautifully crafted case which you would treasure forever.  She has a wide range of cases in beautiful colours and unique designs and ships worldwide.

Reyarnstore

ReYarn Store sells these adorable canvas needle cases. They have multiple interior slots for needles, hooks and/or notions with elastic to keep them securely in place and a flap to protect them. They roll up compactly and tie with a leather thong.  Inexpensive and cute these cases have adorable metal charms which make them really attractive.  They are shipped worldwide.

Crochet Case pink and Green

Talfourd Jones. This Moroccan floral crochet hook case is made using a gorgeous selection of cotton quilting fabric.  The top folds down to keep your hooks secure and there is a small zippy pocket which can hold a tape measure and locking stitch markers.  Talfourd Jones provide custom orders on request and ship worldwide.  At £46 it is in the high end range but the stunning fabrics and high quality, definitely make this a case you will want to own.

ArtistBeeBee

ArtistBeeBee I love this striking rainbow crochet case.  It is made using super soft 100% acrylic yarn for the pockets and 100% cotton yarn for the outside cover and ties. It costs £34 or £42 with the hooks included.  ArtistBeeBee make a range of other crocheted cases, as well as other lovely crocheted items.  They ship worldwide. It is a very special and unique piece.

crochet case

Namolio sells crochet hook cases as beautiful as some designer purses!  I love the combination of pure linen with the crochet doily detail and button.  They are UK based and sell worldwide.  One of these lovely cases will cost you a very reasonable £24.50.  They would make a lovely gift for a crafty friend or relative.

felted case

Fibernstuff by Terrill.  This stunning crochet case is made from 100% wool then felted in the washing machine.  It is done in shades of blue and lavender. It folds into thirds and fastens with a loop over a button.  The hooks fit snugly into a beautiful piece of crochet lace. The cases are shipped world wide and cost £15.50 which is really reasonable for such a unique piece.

Honeysuckle Barn

Honeysuckle Barn make their crochet rolls from 100% designer cotton.  I love the choice of fabrics available and the gorgeous range of pattens and prints used.  They also supply a range of matching project bags.  At £18 this crochet roll is very reasonable. Honeysuckle Barn have very kindly offered you lovely lot a 15% discount on orders with a minimum value of $19.00 (her crochet hook rolls will all qualify with this price range).
The coupon code to quote is crochet16 and it expires on 31st December 2016.  She ships worldwide.

crochet hook case

Jolly knits makes these lovely crochet hook cases from Baumwolle Cotton.  They have plenty of room for all your hooks.  Each one is unique and comes in a large range striking fabrics. They cost £20.60 and ship worldwide.

I usually like Sirdar yarns as they are not expensive, but feel like they should be, and give my work a nice finish.

I’ve had luck wearing alpaca… I have to be careful with merino–I do better if it’s a merino blend to prevent an allergic reaction–otherwise I’m better off with an acrylic, cotton, or polyester yarn.

My favourite Yarns are ghost stories and tales about smugglers of the old days hiding booty in caves and caverns along the coastline, i also love hearing about secret passage ways in buildings and i would love to live in a house which was full of hidden doors and secret passage ways. 😉
