Halt! Who ghost there…..?
This little crochet ghost has been entertaining himself whilst waiting for the Halloween festivities begin… Such a cheeky chap.
If you would also like to make a dancing ghost, here is the tutorial.
It actually uses similar techniques to the Crochet Pumpkin I made last week. This pattern is even simpler, so please do have a go and post me pics of your little ghosts.
ch = Chain Stitch
sl = Slip Stitch
dc = Double Crochet (Single Crochet in US terms)
tr = Treble Crochet (Double Crochet in US Terms)
Pattern (do not join at the end of each round unless it states to do so)
sl into 1st ch to make a ring
R1. 6 dc into the ring (6)
R2. 2dc in each dc (12)
R3. 1 dc in the first dc, 2 dc in the next dc – repeat 6 times (18)
R4. 1 dc in the first 2 dc, 2dc in the next dc – repeat 6 times (24)
R5. 1dc in the first 3 dc, 2dc in the next dc – repeat 6 times (30)
R6-R15. 1dc in each dc (30) (you can make this stage longer or shorter depending on how tall you would like your ghost to be)
Sl into the next stitch.
Ch 2 (These will count as your first tr)
R16. 2tr in the same stitch as the ch2. *sl into next stitch, 3tr in the next stitch* Repeat** 14 times, sl into last stitch and fasten off.
Then add two safety eyes and sew in a little mouth.
So cute and so simple!
Some might say BOO-tiful…. 👻👻👻👻👻👻
