Spring is on its way, however it has been undeniably a bit nippy over the past few weeks. The Beast from the East has bought Snowmageddon to the UK and my toes have been chilly.
I bought two balls of this gorgeous and very reasonable Cyget Yarn – Boho Spirit about a year ago. A pair of slipper socks is a perfect stash buster, as well as keeping my poor blue toes toasty until the weather improves.
Isn’t it pretty! It was a dream to work with and I love how the yarn colour changes so dramatically. It means you don’t get bored whilst crocheting the same colour.
Snowed in, crocheting… what could be more perfect? Well, the fact I could put my feet up whilst crocheting, on my new amusingly named Baa Stool from Wool Room.
This cute footstool has a luxuriously soft British sheepskin cover which is perfect for snugging your toes into. Luckily for me and my sticky children the cover is removable for easy cleaning. Sheepskin fleece naturally repels dirt too so makes an ideal covering for a footstool, and a perfect accessory for a crocheter. It also came with it’s own brush, so it is like a pet with none of the work!
I am so happy with how my pattern turned out and I can’t wait to share it will you.
The Cygnet yarn feels very silky and soft and works perfectly for a slipper sock, however most yarn of the same weight would be fine.
Disclosure – I was sent the Angharad Baa Stool for the purpose of review, however all the views given are my own.
