Blog Birthday Giveaway

January 30, 2017 by Amy Le Pelley 103 Comments

Just over a year ago, I was sat talking with a friend whilst her three children played with my three children, there was Playdoh all over the floor, Barbie was wearing Ken’s clothes, Ken was dressed as a Disney Princess and I had just shared a sip of my homemade salted caramel vodka…. it was a great play date.

My friend has a gorgeous parenting travel blog and I confided in her that I really wanted to set up a craft blog with tutorials for mums and kids.  She gave me great advice and told me to just go for it. This friend is one of those wonderful people who makes you feel like you can do anything…

…. a week later I had set up a wordpress account and written my first post featuring crocheted hearts.  It turned out I knew nothing about blogging, the blogging community, SEO, social media algorithms, domain authority and the complex world of blogging etiquette, it has been a steep learning curve but I have loved ever minute of it.

I couldn’t let my first birthday go by without marking it, and what better way to say thank you to all you fabulously loyal readers than with a giveaway.  Oh OK!!!!  How about THREE giveaways!

You just need to make sure you have followed my blog and commented below to ensure you are entered in the draw.

The Prizes!!!!!!!

You may remember that as part of my ‘Made for Crafters by Crafters‘ series I featured Soyun Park Forrest and her Etsy shop AtelierDeSoyun.  She makes stunning Crochet Hook and Knitting Needle cases from Organic Linen, Hemp and Cotton.  Her work was love at first sight and when she agreed to send me a crochet hook case for this giveaway, I was stunned at the quality of the piece, it was even more beautiful in real life.  If you like her work you should check out her adorable blog where she shares her crafting journey.

I am part of a team of Bloggers who make up the Minerva Craft Bloggers Network.  For those of you who haven’t come across Minerva Craft they are a fabulous family run online craft shop which sells fabrics, yarn and other crafty accessories.  Minerva Craft have really kindly offered 2 Clover PomPom maker sets and a selection of gorgeous brightly coloured Dolly Mix DK yarn by King Cole for the giveaway.

The final prize in my Blog Birthday Giveaway, comes from another which featured in my ‘Made for Crafters by Crafters’ Series. Hen Pecked Hooks, are an etsy shop which stock the most exquisite and stylish hand-turned wooden crochet hooks.  I am lucky enough to own two myself and I love them.  Hen Pecked Hooks have generously offered a stunning hand-turned walnut 4mm crochet hook for this giveaway.  It is a beautiful hook, and a really special item to own.

If you would like to enter one or all of these GIVEAWAYS click on the Rafflecopter links below.  The only compulsory element is that you follow my blog and that you comment below. The other options will give you extra entries however! Good luck!!!!!!

My favourite craft is crocheting – I got into it last year at the age of 44 after trying it years before and not getting the hang of it. I’m a visual learner, so I searched you tube and found a lady on there who I followed and learnt from there!
I’m currently working on a granny square blanket in teal and the dreaded black! For my teenage son. He has autism and loves textures. After I’d completed a blanket for my mums bed, he nagged and nagged me to do him one!

I’ve just found you, and subscribed to your blog 🙂

I love the crochet hook and the crochet hook hold-all – you can tell it’s been made with love ❤️

    Thanks for the giveaways xxx
