MicroMkt – Connecting The MicroBusiness Community

July 25, 2017 by Amy Le Pelley 34 Comments

Only a few more weeks until the big move!  I am really looking forward to sharing this exciting renovation over the next year or so.  I am feeling a little bit apprehensive, we swore we would never buy another ‘project’, but the location of this house was perfect and therefore we decided to go for it.

It is a great opportunity to project plan each room, move radiators, move doors and generally make the space work for us as a family.

One of the first room we are going to be working on is the Study/Creative space, since both my husband and I are self employed it is really important to ensure this space works for us.

Renovation

As you can see it is currently very dark and we may need to take out the double doors which lead into the play room to ensure there is enough space for two desks (and to keep the kids out!).  But I love the Parquet flooring.

Although the layout in important, my favourite part so far has been shopping for accessories!  New desk, wall art, storage.  My Pinterest Boards are bursting!

I recently discovered a fabulous new online market place called MicroMkt and their gorgeous items have really inspired me.

MicroMkt is a community of Micro Businesses which create and sell handcrafted products. It is simple and free to join as a seller and build & grow your online business.  Best of all every time you buy one of the great products or services available on MicroMkt, you are supporting a community of everyday entrepreneurs.

They currently have sellers which create; jewellery, clothing and fashion, home decor, kids items and art and the range of items on their site is growing every day.

Visit their Facebook page and Instagram if you want more information about MicroMkt and the products and services they provide.

One of their wonderful creative sellers is The White Bulb, who sell a range of beautiful handmade Light Up Letters, Marquee Lights & Wedding Decor.

I have this gorgeous Succulent Letter Light which is going to look gorgeous in the first #shelfie I take in the new work space.  So many people have asked me if the plants are real and the copper letter is really on trend and will look gorgeous next to my Sparkly Concrete Desk Tidies.

Another of MicroMkt’s creatives is Hugo’s Workshop a shop run by Rebecca a mum of two who engraves luscious pieces of wood and creates stunning gifts. How gorgeous is this noticeboard she made, engraved with my business name.

The frame is really solid and it feels and looks fabulous quality.

Renovation

I adore felt and therefore one of my favourite sellers on MicroMkt is Fab Family Toys.  They design and make handmade items for nurseries, playrooms and kids rooms.  I have bought this stunning Rainbow Felt Ball Bunting, which I can’t wait to hang over my new desk.  I think it will go beautifully with the Felt Ball Coasters I made a few months ago.

They sell some lovely cot mobiles and I love the Monchrome Wall Hanging they currently have for sale.

MicroMkt have very kindly offered one of these Fab Family Toys Rainbow Felt Ball Bunting as a giveaway for my readers.  Each felt ball is approximately 3cm, and the total length of the garland is approximately 2 metres (20 balls in total).

How exciting to start over and renovate the space to your liking! Those are adorable items from the MicroMkt. I’ll not enter for the Rainbow Felt Ball Bunting since I’m sure someone else has a room for little ones to decorate, plus I’m not in the UK.
