Valentine’s day, Bonne Saint Valentin, Fijne valentijnsdag, Feliz dia de San Valentin, Hyvää ystävänpäivää, Заљубљени Шекспир, Shiawasena Barentainde….
…however you say it, Valentine’s day is coming and there is nothing more stressful than trying to find a gift for someone who can literally make anything themselves.
Here is a list of some of my favourite pieces available to buy online at the moment. I am sure the crafty people in your life will agree.
For the Crafter who loves to ‘hook’.
This stunning necklace is by Wearthou, is a perfect gift for the ‘hooker’ who is out and proud! . I love how delicate it is.
For the Foodie Crafter
This amazing rolling pin by MoodforWood would be a great gift for the #foodie in your life this Valentine’s Day.
For the Boozy Crafter
Do you know a crafter who enjoys a tipple to get her creative thoughts flowing? Then this Gin Kit by It’s a Gin Thing could be a perfect gift! Just remember, friends don’t let friends crochet drunk!
For the Stylish Crafter
This beautiful felted scarf made by SweetJRoom is handmade from tussuh silk, silk hankies, beads and superfine merino wool. It would be the perfect gift for a crafter who, on occasion, leaves her craft room and wears something other than PJs.
For the Traditional Crafter
I love these brass vintage crane craft scissors for sale from UKaMobile.
For the Crafter Waiting For Her ‘Knight In Shining Armour’.
We all have that friend who is waiting for her knight in shining armour to sweep her off her feet at Valentine’s Day. Make her dreams come true, with this amazing crocheted hat by Mamzelle’s Emmele, and she can transform any bog standard date into a ‘gallant defender’ for the night.
For the ‘Child at Heart’ Crafter
These adorable craft kits by Letter Box Kits aren’t just for children and would make a great gift this Valentine’s Day.
For the Cat Loving Crafter
Cats and yarn go together like mice and cheese! Treat your favourite cat lover this Valentine’s Day with these awesome novelty peeking cat bum coasters by Stem Wool and Clay.
For the Extreme Crafter
WOW! Some crafters just like to go big! And there is nothing half hearted about these giant yarn knitting wool balls by Lauren Aston Designs. If you give these to your loved one this Valentine’s Day, she will be able to knit you a chunky blanket to cuddle up under together.
For the Social Media Loving Crafter
If your Valentine updated her FaceBook status before she told you, that you were now in a relationship, then this groovy ‘Twitter and Glitter’ T-shirt by Teapparel would be a perfect gift.
For The Crafter With A Sense Of Humour
Not everyone has the…well…balls, to carry off this bag, but if you know someone that does, head over to Kelly Connor Designs. All crafters need somewhere to store their yarn stash.
For The Organised Crafter
I love this beautiful notebook by Fairy Made Paperart. All crafters love a pretty notebook, be it for endless lists, inspirational ideas or for the Tesco order.
Gorgeous things. I love the rolling pin. 🙂 And the cats. And the scarf. I shall leave this where the dh can see it!
so beautiful and such creative ideas!
I dig out all of my heart items and decorate the house. when I was a child, my mom would label my items with hearts to either differentiate them from my brothers or to prevent others from claiming my items. so, hearts became a personal icon for me. as a grown woman, I can’t have all the hearts around without looking childlike, but at Valentine’s I can cut loose and shower the house in heart love!
I don’t regret a lot of things, but I do wish I had finished the lap quilt I have with hearts. it’s a bit 80s country in colors (showing my age), but my grandma helped me with some of the squares.
