Busy Bee – Fridge Magnet

April 21, 2016 by Amy Le Pelley Leave a Comment

As a mother of three, I suffer from a serious lack of fridge space, inside and out.  Twinkle brings home enough art work from school on a weekly basis to wipe out a small rainforest and some of my fridge magnets are seriously not up to the task.

I recently bought some very strong tiny magnets in order to make my own.

So I made this little chap.  Minty has informed me his name is ‘Bumble’.  You can download a copy of the pattern here.  It is such a simple pattern but so cute.

Bumble, took a walk-about around the garden before he settled down to his full time job, keeping stuff stuck to my fridge.

These magnets are so strong, that they easily stick to the fridge, through the crochet work.

The girls were concerned Bumble would be lonely and not wanting to be out done, they set to making him some magnetic friends, using Shrinky Plastic.  I LOVE Shrinky Plastic.  I have added a tutorial to make these shrunken cuties here.
